LIBRARY AIDE: 38 HOURS/WEEK - $7.75/HOUR with benefits.
REQUIREMENTS: 3 years work experience and Microsoft Office expertise. Applicant must have reliable transportation to work and be able to lift containers weighing up to 30 pounds.
The Preferred Applicant will have:
Four year college degree.
Technical skills are highly desirable, but the ability to listen to and accommodate the differing needs of our patrons is crucial.
Ability to present the library as an exciting, fun and valuable place to visit.
Ability to demonstrate respect and concern for patrons of all ages, races and nationalities.
Experience working with the Internet
Ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge and familiarity with Evergreen software.
Prior experience working in a public library
Hours:
Monday 11am-8pm
Tuesday 10am-7pm
Wednesday 9am-6pm
Thursday 10am-7pm
Friday 11:30am-5:30pm
Hours include a 1 hour meal break Monday-Thursday.
